30 Kacheln beschriftet mit Namen von 15 Frauen und ihren männlichen Pseudonymen. Frauen, die sich als Männer ausgaben, um Autorinnen, Ärztinnen, Soldatinnen, Geistliche und anderes zu sein oder einfach nur leben zu können. Die Arbeit wurde konzipiert für das Herrenhaus auf Gut Wittmoldt in dessen Eingangsbereich herrschaftliche Mamorfliesen im Schachbrettmuster liegen.

30 tiles inscribed with the names of 15 women and their male pseudonyms. Women who posed as men in order to be authors, doctors, soldiers, clergy, and more—or simply to be able to live. The work was conceived for the manor house at the Wittmoldt estate, where the entrance area features stately marble tiles laid in a checkerboard pattern.
